TTA Board Update - Graham Symons Appointed TTA President, Anthony Jeffress Appointed TTA Deputy President

At the TTA Board Meeting following the TTA AGM held today, 19 April 2020, the TTA Board unanimously appointed Graham Symons as TTA President. Graham is currently the longest serving TTA Board Member and brings a wealth of experience from his former corporate roles and Board roles, both inside and outside of sport. In line with the TTA Constitution, Graham will hold the position until the 2021 TTA AGM.

Suzy Javor Awarded TTA Life Membership

TTA is pleased to announce that Ms. Suzy Javor has been awarded Life Membership of TTA for longstanding and valued service to table tennis in Australia. Suzy's nomination for TTA Life Membership was unanimously supported by the State and Territory Associations at the TTA AGM on Sunday 19 April 2020.

Innovation and Unity for National Squads

Whilst COVID-19 may be keeping our Able-Bodied and Para National Squad members from going to venues for training and competition, it has not meant the end to work and development. In the High Performance (HP) Program, National Coaches John Murphy and Simon Gerada, say their team are arguably being challenged more than ever with sessions now online starting with a 7:00am physical training session, on-table sessions and team building exercises filling their days.

2020 Table Tennis Corporate Cup Internal Round Report

The inaugural Table Tennis Corporate Cup Internal Round finished on the 16 March 2020. The Corporate Cup changed workplaces in Australia with more than 400 participants and almost 600 hours of table tennis in two weeks.

Unified Strategic Plans Across State/Territory Associations

TTA is pleased to advise that for the first time, a unified Strategic Planning approach has been embedded across the sport. In mid-2019 TTA successfully obtained Impact Funding from Sport Australia; one of the included projects was for the TTA Strategic Plan - Our Future Now! to be streamlined through to all State/Territory Associations.
