State Umpire Accreditation – Part 2: Officiating Training
3. Basic Practical Training
Conducted as a 4.5-hour practical umpiring seminar, candidates will be trained in key practical competencies, including:

Correct use of the scoresheet.

Checking nets and rackets correctly.

Proper use of score indication and communication.
- Appropriate use of hand signals (State-level standard).

Understanding of behaviour regulations.
- Timing a match

Basic match procedures (pre-, post- and during under single umpire system).
