Six athletes will make their debut in day 1 of competition

The 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games is here and to kick start the 11 days of table tennis competition is the Team Event.
Six Australian athletes will make their Commonwealth Games debut in today’s competition. Min Hyung Jee, Yangzi Liu, Tracy Feng, Nicholas Lum, Finn Luu and Dillion Chambers will join their experienced teammates Jian Fang Lay and Chris Yan on the court.
The round robin team event sees both the men and women facing some tough competitors on their first day of competition.
In Group 3 the Australian women will face Mauritius, Malaysia, and the Maldives. On the first day of competition the women have a challenging first match against Malaysia.

They will also face Mauritius in day one of competition.
The Australian men are in Group 4 with Canada, Malaysia, and Mauritius. The men will have two demanding and exciting matches against Malaysia and Canada.
