We are super excited to invite you to a special DEI and Gender Equity Basics workshop in conjunction with Work 180, focusing on understanding barriers and raising awareness around Gender Equity and inclusion practices.
Facilitated by Work 180 as part of the Women Leaders in Sport Executive Program, the workshop will be an introduction to diversity, equity, and inclusion, suitable for all in the Table Tennis community to attend, especially those in leadership roles and responsible for recruiting and engaging people into the sport.
Presenter: Julie Taylor, DEI Account Manager, Work 180
Date: Thursday 21 March 2024
Time: 12.30 – 1.30 pm AEST
About: The 1-hour session will cover:
- What does Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion actually mean?
- Why is it important?
- Understanding barriers that may exist
- The impact of language, both written and verbal
- How is your sport portraying DEI both internally and externally?
- An awareness exercise to understand bias and how to minimise it
Registration is FREE! Click register to save your spot.
By registering you will recieve a meeting link to attend the workshop, as well as the recording and presentation slides afterwards.
This is all about learning as DEI is constantly evolving, progress not perfection.
Small changes make a big difference.
