FINAL RESULTS - 2021 National Hopes Week & Challenge

The 2021 National Hopes Week & Challenge, which will be held at LOOPS Table Tennis from 12-16 April, is the premier Hopes event on the TTA calendar. A record 58 entries from 7 States/Territories are taking will take part in a 4-day training camp and 1-day competition.

The National Hopes Week & Challenge is of high importance to TTA. In recent years we have seen many former participants go on to win national titles and join the national squad. No doubt this is the breeding ground for the future success of Australian table tennis.

The 2021 National Hopes Week & Challenge also marks an important milestone in the recovery from COVID-19. The previous edition of this event in January 2020 was the final national event before COVID-19 forced the postponement and then cancellation of all other national events in 2020. We know there is a strong appetite to participate in national events and it is fitting that the Hopes age group provides hope that national events can successfully return under the ‘new normal’.
