2022 National Veterans Championships: Individual Entry Form Available | Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Information

COVID-19 VACCINATION UPDATE
The TTA Board has updated the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for the event. TTA advises that mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations are not required to participate at the 2022 National Veterans Championships, however all participants are strongly encouraged to ensure they are fully vaccinated, including any booster(s) that they are eligible for. TTA may also implement other COVID-19 mitigation strategies, such as strongly recommending masks be worn when not playing, ensuring good hand hygiene, minimising large group interactions wherever practicable etc.
When making the change, the TTA Board considered:
1) There has been a general shift in community expectations in relation to COVID-19, with people more likely to want to live with the virus with as few disruptions and impositions as possible.
2) With a fourth vaccination (second booster) now being offered to more age groups, it adds another layer of complexity and may lead to fewer people being considered ‘fully vaccinated’.
TTA understands this is a sensitive topic and irrespective of whatever decision is taken (to mandate / to not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations) it will likely lead to a small percentage of people choosing not to participate at the 2022 National Veterans Championships.
It is noted that the Event Prospectus has been updated to reflect the updated position on COVID-19 vaccinations. To view the updated Event Prospectus, please CLICK HERE.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Darwin for the biggest Veterans event in Australia.
