2024 AUS v NZ Veterans Test Match

Following on from correspondence earlier this year in relation to the New Zealand Veterans Test Match and New Zealand Veterans Championships, TTA is pleased to provide the following updates:
NEW ZEALAND VETERANS TEST MATCH
After receiving a number of expressions of interest, TTA is pleased to inform that selections have been finalised for the New Zealand Veterans Test Match, which will be played in Taupo on Thursday 28th March 2024, commencing at 6pm. Congratulations to the following players who have been selected to represent Australia:

For any players who submitted an expression of interest but were not selected, TTA will consider you for selection in the event that there are any withdrawals, or if any additional players can be found to fill age groups that are currently without a team (Over 70, Over 75 & Over 80 Women’s and Over 80 Men’s).
NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Any Australian player can compete in the New Zealand National Veterans Championships (irrespective of if you’ve been selected for the Test Match or not), which will be played in Taupo from 29 March -1 April. The Event Prospectus contains all information – please read it carefully.
TEAM EVENTS
Players can form their own teams from within their State and must be submitted on the correct form by the appropriate State representative. Teams require a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 3 players. Players can play in a maximum of two team events (must be consecutive age groups). Where only ONE player is available from the State within a given age division, the player is entered as a “Draft Player” and will be matched with another draft player either from NZ or Australia. Players from different Aust states cannot form a team. States must collect their own Team entry costs $60 per person ($120 per team). NZ will invoice each state for payment. Team entries close midnight 28th February. See the Prospectus for more details.
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
All players are responsible for entering and paying for their individual event entries. Individual events are for Singles Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

CLOSING DINNER & FUNCTION
On Monday night , 1st April, there will be a dinner and social function at the Taupo Golf Club , adjacent to the Taupo Events Centre . Dinner tickets can be pre ordered and paid for with entries, at a cost of $45 per person. This ticket is for the dinner only and not drinks at the bar. All Australian representative players are encouraged to attend the Closing Function if it fits with your travel plans.
