Aaron Tuckfield Commences with TTA
Published Tue 13 Apr 2021
TTA is pleased to advise that Aaron Tuckfield has taken on the role of Senior Manager – National Participation & Development Program, commencing today 13 April 2021. Aaron will be based at the TTA National Office in Adelaide.
Aaron brings a wealth of experience to the role having established an impressive career as a sports administrator over the past 15 years. During this time, Aaron has held comparable management level roles with the South Australian Cricket Association, Port Adelaide Football Club, the City of Salisbury (Local Government) and Surf Life Saving South Australia.
Aaron holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Sport and Recreation Management) degree and is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration.
Upon making the appointment, TTA CEO Scott Houston commented, “I’m very pleased to be able to secure the services of someone of Aaron’s calibre. We went through an extensive recruitment process and Aaron proved to be the standout candidate.
“Participation and Development is a crucial area for TTA, which is reflected in our Strategic Plan and priorities. I am confident that under Aaron’s leadership, the team will be able to build on our existing programs and look to implement new initiatives.”
Aaron was equally pleased, commenting "I’m excited by the opportunity to work for a National Sporting Organisation. The fact that table tennis is an Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games sport added to my attraction for this role. It is a sport for all, regardless of age, gender or ability - an advantage that table tennis boasts over other sports. I look forward to continuing the great work already being done by TTA, its State/Territory Associations and clubs/associations in promoting the benefits of the sport and looking to grow participation rates across the wider community.”
Welcome aboard Aaron!
