Anshul Thakran joins the TTA Team
Published Fri 11 Jun 2021
TTA is pleased to advise that Anshul Thakran has taken on the role of National Participation and Development Coordinator, commencing today 11 June 2021. Anshul will be based at the TTA National Office in Adelaide.
Hailing from India originally, Anshul has been in Australia since 2019 completing her Master of Business Administration (Sport Management). She comes from a Table Tennis background, having been involved as a player and coach in India and most recently in Melbourne at the Tarneit Table Tennis Club. Anshul has also worked in Operations Management and Event Management, both in India and Australia, including the Australian Open and Victorian Premier Cricket.
In addition to her recently completed MBA in Sport Management, Anshul holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree.
Upon making the appointment, TTA Senior Manager – National Participation and Development Program Aaron Tuckfield commented, “I’m extremely pleased to have secured the services of Anshul. Her skillset and experience, combined with her passion for Table Tennis will be an asset to the sport. We went through an extensive recruitment process and Anshul proved to be the standout candidate.”
“Participation and Development is a crucial area for TTA, which is reflected in our Strategic Plan and priorities. Anshul’s’ role will focus specifically on the already successful Sporting Schools program, as well as contributing to the growth of our entry level program – Spinneroos. I am confident that Anshul will be able to take these programs to the next step.”
Anshul was equally pleased, commenting “I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to work at TTA. There couldn’t be a better organisation which directly caters to both my passion for the sport and the commitment to increase opportunities for people to engage in it. I look forward to contributing to the collective vision of TTA, driving participation and leveraging Table Tennis’ unique capabilities to drive social change. ”
Welcome aboard Anshul!
