Table Tennis Australia (TTA) will bring together a group of high-performance athletes and coaches in Beijing this month for a training camp, proudly supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.

The TTA China high-performance Training Camp will run from Wednesday 23 September to Wednesday 30 September, providing Australian athletes and coaches with the opportunity to train in one of the world's leading table tennis environments while building connections with the Chinese table tennis community.

Attendees at the camp will consist of Min Hyung Jee, Yangzi Liu, Connie Psihogios, Jiamuwa Wu, Hwan Bae, Dillon Chambers, Finn Luu and Aditya Sareen, supported by Coaches Ricardo Oliveira and Simon Gerada, Camp Manager Aaron Zhang and Physiotherapist Brandon Ngo.

The camp will also lead into the 2026 China Smash, which will take place from October 1 – October 11.

With China recognised globally for its excellence in table tennis, the camp forms part of TTA's broader commitment to developing international relationships and creating meaningful high-performance opportunities for Australian athletes and coaches.

Through a combination of daily high-performance training and cultural experiences, the delegation will gain valuable exposure to the Chinese training environment while building relationships that can support the development of Australian table tennis.

TTA wholeheartedly thanks the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations for its role in supporting engagement and strengthening community and sporting connections between Australia and China.

The program will also include a cultural day on Sunday 27 September, with the delegation visiting some of Beijing's most significant landmarks, including the Forbidden Palace, Summer Palace and Bird's Nest, providing an opportunity to experience Chinese culture and history alongside the training camp.

TTA CEO, Nicole Adamson, explains the importance of the training camp by saying: “The opportunity for our athletes to attend this training camp in China is remarkable. Not only are our athletes exposed to the highest quality of training environments, but the importance of the trip from a team perspective is also so valuable. Without the support of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, this trip would not be possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support.”

TTA’s National Head Coach Ricardo Oliveira elaborated, stating: “We’re really excited to return to China for our second training camp, which is so generously supported by the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations. For our athletes, these opportunities don’t come about often, and the chance to learn at one of the world's leading table tennis facilities is one that will mean so much to them moving forwards.”

TTA once more wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations for their wonderful support, and wishes all athletes and coaches the very best of luck for the camp.
