City of Moreton Bay to Host 2025 Australian National Veterans Table Tennis Championships.
Published Wed 01 Oct 2025
Table Tennis Australia is proud to announce that the 2025 Australian National Veterans Table Tennis Championships will take place from 18–25 October 2025 at the South Pine Indoor Sports Centre at Brendale, located in City of Moreton Bay.
Supported by City of Moreton Bay, this premier eight-day event will bring together over 390 athletes from all eight Australian states and territories, as well as New Zealand, for a celebration of sport, skill, and community. Competitors aged 30 to 90 will participate in team and individual events across nine different age categories—making this one of Australia’s most inclusive and inspiring sporting events.
"This event is more than just a championship," said Nicole Adamson, CEO of Table Tennis Australia. "It’s a vibrant celebration of resilience, athleticism, and lifelong dedication to sport. From the energy of our 30-year-old participants to the inspirational stories of our 88-year-old champions, this tournament showcases the enduring spirit of table tennis."
This year marks a significant milestone, with the event to be live streamed via Table Tennis Australia’s YouTube channel, thanks to its new partnership with SportVot. This initiative will allow fans across Australia and beyond to follow the action and cheer on their favourite athletes from wherever they are.
“I am thrilled that our Veterans Championships will have access to live streaming, sharing the energy and spirit of our players far and wide,” Ms Adamson added.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery echoed enthusiasm for the premier event.
"City of Moreton Bay has a strong reputation as a destination for sports and major events. We are excited to welcome the Championships to our growing City and to showcase our world-class facilities to a national and international audiences,” he said.
“This event perfectly aligns with our commitment to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, inclusivity, and community pride. It’s a celebration not just of table tennis, but of the incredible people who play it."
Join us this October in Brisbane for a week where athletic passion transcends age, and every match tells a story of determination, friendship, and the enduring love of table tennis.
