Dates and Venue confirmed for 2027 National Veterans Championships

Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is delighted to confirm the details of the 2027 National Veterans Championships, which will be held at the Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub in Launceston, Tasmania, from 23-30 October 2027. The 2027 National Veterans Championships is supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania.
One of the biggest and most anticipated fixtures on the TTA calendar, the Championships will draw around 600 athletes from across Australia, aged 30 to 85+. Across eight days of competition, players experience the perfect blend of fierce on-table intensity and unmatched camaraderie, making the event a true celebration of table tennis for all ages and abilities.
The Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub, which will host the event, is a new, state-of-the-art facility located just five kilometres from the Launceston city centre. Opening in early 2026, the Hub is Tasmania’s largest multi-purpose community, sporting, and recreation facility, proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government, Australian Government and the City of Launceston.
Widely recognised for its community spirit, inclusivity and longevity, the Championships exemplify table tennis as a sport that welcomes everyone, regardless of age, experience or playing style.
TTA CEO Nicole Adamson described her excitement ahead of bringing the tournament to Launceston, stating: “The National Veterans Championship is one of our biggest events of the year, and we’re extremely excited to bring it to Tasmania in 2027.
“In regard to entrants, it is our biggest event of the year, so to be able to host the Championships at the Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub is very exciting for us. The venue is a remarkable one, and one we can’t wait for our players to experience.
“I’d also like to express my utmost thanks to Events Tasmania for their shared commitment to making this event a success. We are extremely grateful for their support.”
