Game Changing Partnership as Table Tennis Australia teams up with Stupa Sports
Published Thu 14 Aug 2025
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is proud to officially announce Stupa Sports as our partner for the development and delivery of a new competition management platform, marking a bold leap forward in the digital transformation of table tennis in Australia. The collaboration aims to deliver a comprehensive, innovative platform that will streamline event administration, enhance player experiences, and support the growth of the sport nationwide.
The whole of sport agreement will revolutionise how competitions are managed, how performance is analysed, and how the game is experienced – from grassroots to elite. In collaboration with Stupa, a global leader in sports data and AI, TTA is bringing cutting edge technology to every level of the game.
TTA’s decision to partner with Stupa is grounded in their proven expertise within table tennis at the highest levels of the sport. Stupa is the trusted technology partner of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU), the Swedish Table Tennis Association, Major League Table Tennis, the Norwegian Table Tennis Association, and numerous other leading national federations and leagues – organisations that set the benchmark for competition delivery and innovation worldwide.
By selecting a provider embedded in the global table tennis ecosystem, TTA is ensuring that Australian players, coaches, officials, and administrators benefit from a platform built on deep sport-specific knowledge, international best practice and a track record of driving meaningful results.
This partnership follows months of consultation and system mapping with key stakeholders, to ensure the platform meets the unique needs of the Australian table tennis community. A Competition Management Platform Advisory Group was formed, which included nominated representatives from Member Associations, and who have worked confidentially and collaboratively, gathering insights to help shape the platform’s successful implementation across the sport.
Nationally integrated, locally empowered and player focused this landmark agreement between TTA and Stupa has been purposefully designed to deliver value at every level of the sport. From the national body to state and territory member associations, local clubs, and individual players, the benefits are structured to cascade throughout the entire table tennis community. Nationally, the integration of Stupa’s platform with TTA’s membership and ratings systems, streamlines competition management and enhances data accuracy.
These efficiencies flow down to states and territories, who gain access to live scoring, dynamic rankings, and a centralised Match Centre to elevate their events. Clubs and associations will experience simplified administration and increased visibility, enabling them to run more effective and engaging competitions. At the individual level, players and coaches will be empowered by advanced AI-driven analytics and real-time performance insights; - tools once reserved for elite sport, helping every athlete in Australia train smarter, play harder, and reach their full potential.
“This is a significant step forward for our sport,” said Ms Nicole Adamson, CEO of Table Tennis Australia. “Through this partnership with Stupa, we are investing in a future-focused platform that will improve the way competitions are run across all levels of our game. I want to sincerely thank the Competition Management Platform Advisory Group and all stakeholders who contributed their time and insights to help make this happen.”
Megha Gambhir, CEO of Stupa Sports, commented: "We are thrilled to partner with Table Tennis Australia and empower thousands of players, coaches, and administrators with our innovative technology. This collaboration reaffirms our vision to make sports analytics and competition management more accessible and impactful. Together, we aim to set a new standard for digital engagement and operational efficiency in table tennis, not only for TTA, but as a benchmark for federations globally."
Stupa’s local presence and shared commitment to innovation, together with their global expertise in sports analytics and event management is instrumental in delivering a modern and data-driven solution that aligns with TTA’s long-term goals. Together, TTA & Stupa are excited to deliver a smarter, stronger future for table tennis in Australia.
