LUU/LUM STRIKE GOLD IN QATAR

Young guns Finn Luu and Nicholas Lum stormed to victory in the Under 19 Boys' Doubles at the World Table Tennis Youth Star Contender event in Qatar overnight.
In one of the best performances of their careers, the duo recorded a string of outstanding victories on their way to the title.
UNDER 19 BOYS' DOUBLES

National Head Coach John Murphy was thrilled with the result commenting, "I'm really proud of the boys' performances. They defeated multiple quality pairs and showed their genuine international competitiveness. To win a gold medal in the highest level of World Table Tennis youth events shows that both they and our overall program are on the right track."
Earlier in the event, both Luu and Lum also enjoyed several wins in the Under 19 Boys' Singles events, including beating multiple players in the upper echelons of the World Youth Rankings.
