Jamie Olsen Appointed TTA President, Graham Symons Appointed TTA Deputy President

At the Board Meeting held on Thursday 19 September 2019, the TTA Board appointed Jamie Olsen as TTA President. Additionally, Graham Symons was appointed by the TTA Board as Deputy President.
Olsen steps up to become TTA President following on from Brett Sonnet’s resignation from the TTA Board earlier this month; formerly Olsen was TTA Deputy President.
Olsen was elected to the TTA Board at the 2018 AGM. Symons filled a casual vacancy on the TTA Board in October 2017 and was subsequently elected to the Board at the 2018 AGM.
The TTA Board comprises:
- Jamie Olsen (President, Elected Director): Businessman, corporate leader, former investment banker, experienced Board member of public and private companies, former Queensland representative at junior level.
- Graham Symons (Deputy President, Elected Director): Former CEO of four Northern Territory Government Departments, former Table Tennis Northern Territory President, experienced Board member inside and outside table tennis, former Northern Territory representative at senior/veteran level.
- Marie Pinkewich (Elected Director): Australian representative at veteran level, New South Wales representative (player and manager) at senior/veteran level, International Umpire, State Referee, tournament controller, administrator, experienced document controller.
- Anthony Jeffress (Elected Director): Businessman, International Umpire, Former Table Tennis Queensland President, experienced Board Member within table tennis, Queensland representative (player, coach and manager) at junior/senior/veteran level.
- Craig Hayes (Appointed Director): Corporate leader and manager, Certified Financial Planner, former Australian representative at junior level, multiple times Australian Champion at junior level, former Queensland representative at junior/senior level.
- Eddie Kocjancic (Appointed Director): Businessman, corporate leader and manager, former Table Tennis Victoria Board Member, State Umpire, former Victorian representative at veteran level.
Brett Sonnet’s resignation creates a casual vacancy and the TTA Board will seek to make an appointment as soon as possible.
