Oliver Pizzey Stratford wins second international medal of 2026
Published Mon 15 Jun 2026
Oliver Pizzey Stratford secured his second international medal of 2026 at the ITTF World Para Future Buenos Aires this weekend, picking up a bronze medal in the Class 1&2 event in the Argentinian capital.
Following his bronze at the ITTF World Para Future Santiago in April, Pizzey Stratford picked up more international silverware with the medal, continuing a fine first few months of 2026.
Oliver topped Group 2 of the Class 1&2 event, mostly in part to an excellent 3-1 victory over Brazil's Felipe Barbosa Ramos. Argentina's Silvio Martin Celli finished in 2nd place, and also advanced into the next round.
Oliver recieved a bye in the quarter finals, and then faced home favourite and world number #24 Fernando Emanuel Eberhardt, who proved too much for the Australian.
However, a place in the semi-finals secured a second medal of 2026 for Oliver, who will return to Australia with his head held high.
Congratulations, Oliver!
