Participation Tops 100,000 in 2018!

TTA is excited to share the new 2018 Participation Census highlights infographic.

Notably, Table Tennis Participation hit 103,465, and more than 10,500+ members were reported by States & Territories in the 2018 calendar year. TTA's national participation & membership census highlighted that Sporting Schools participants surged to reach 18,410; School Training/Practice Session numbers rose sharply to 10,146 participants; with 36,909 school related participants recorded overall.
Whilst the biggest single participation increase was observed in the Come & Try Days/Promotional Activities category (18,211 participants in total) Ongoing competitions (intra Club) also experienced a generous increase (9,044 participants overall. More than 10,000 participants were involved one-off tournaments (10,636) and the number of courts/tables (playing opportunities) reached 1,205 across the country in 2018.
