Partnership with Table Tennis England to Increase Participation
Published Fri 15 Nov 2019
TTA is pleased to announce the partnership with Table Tennis England to launch the Spinneroos - Bounce into Table Tennis program and maximise participation in Australia.
Regardless of the cultural background or the location on the world map, every National Association around the globe has the goal to provide children with an inspiring, engaging and fun first experience in table tennis.
With that in mind, Table Tennis Australia reached out to several international program providers to review their Entry Level Program and discuss opportunities for a partnership.
Patrick Wuertz, Program Coordinator said: “We were looking for a program that is innovative, fun, well-researched and tested. After conversations with Greg Yarnall and seeing the work that was done, we knew from the start that TT Kidz has everything that we were looking for.”
The flexible 8-week TT Kidz program went through an 18-month research phase with over 3,000 children, 20 schools and 60 parents assisting in the trial phase. After six month of piloting, TT Kidz went live two months ago with locations all around England being sold-out.
“Working with TTA on a licence agreement for TT Kidz was a great way to maximise resources for both parties and it’s something that as a sport we should be doing more of on a worldwide level to maximise the growth of the game.” Greg Yarnall, Head of Development and Volunteering stated.
Licensing the agreement from Table Tennis England will not only give Table Tennis Australia greater credibility when talking to partners, Table Tennis Australia is also able to leverage the various resources including activity videos, activity cards and marketing collateral.
Table Tennis Australia has now commenced work to bring Spinneroos -Bounce into Table Tennis to life with a unique and engaging brand personality.
