Patrick Wuertz Appointed as Program Coordinator - Move It Aus Participation Grant
Published Sat 06 Jul 2019
TTA is pleased to announce that Patrick Wuertz has been appointed to the role of Program Coordinator – Move It Aus Participation Grant. Through the role, Wuertz will oversee the implementation of the grant worth more than $350,000 with the primary objectives of developing and rolling out an entry level program, a corporate program and systems to underpin both areas. Wuertz will commence on Monday 29 July.
Upon signing on for the role, Wuertz commented ‘I am very excited to take on the new role and am looking forward to driving the development of an entry level and corporate program. I feel honoured to be part of a project that provides table tennis in Australia with an opportunity to access untapped markets that can ultimately lead to both increased participation and new revenue streams’.
TTA CEO Scott Houston was equally upbeat ‘we were spoiled for choice given we received an unprecedented number of applications and we worked through a very strong interview field. But in the end, Patrick was the standout choice as he brings a wealth of knowledge from his playing, coaching and administrative background. Moreover he has been involved at every level of the sport across state, national and international level over many years. He has been directly involved with other comparable projects and has a well established network within the State and Territory Associations and many clubs/associations throughout Australia. Patrick is a fantastic acquisition as we move forward with implementing our new 2019-2022 Strategic Plan’.
Welcome aboard Patrick!
