Play Well Participation Grant Recipient

We are excited to announce our success in being a recipient of the 2024 ASC Play Well Grant program. The grant funds will allow us to expand our TTA Spinneroos Sporting Schools program into secondary schools, following the resounding success in the primary school space.

On the importance of this grant funding to TTA’s participation efforts, GM – Operations and Community, Aaron Tuckfield, said “This funding will be a game changer for Table Tennis in Australia. Our Spinneroos Sporting Schools program reached over 60,000 primary school aged students in 2023. Being able to roll out the program to a new audience in the secondary school space, with age-appropriate lessons plans that align to the Australian secondary schools curriculum, will allow us to get more and more Australian students involved in our great sport”.

The ASC Play Well grant program aligns directly to the nation’s first Sport Participation Strategy. This project will help TTA contribute to the goal of transforming sport participation ahead of and beyond Brisbane 2032, so that everyone that plays Table Tennis; arguably one of the most inclusive sports on the planet, feels welcome.
