Table Tennis Australia will host its 2026 National Championships (U19, U21, Open and Para) at the Veolia Arena, Goulburn, from July 6-11.

One of the cornerstone events of the TTA calendar, the Nationals will bring together over 200 competitors from across the country, as they compete for valuable ranking points and the title of National Champion.

The tournament features both team and individual events, and will get underway on Monday, July 6, beginning with the team events. The Para events will finish on Thursday, July 9, whilst the U19, U21 and Open events will run from finish on Saturday, July 11. On all six days of the event, play will begin at 9am, and conclude at around 9pm.

Victoria’s Xavier Dixon looked ahead to the event, saying: “I’m really looking forward to the nationals. It’s the biggest event of the year for table tennis in Australia. It’s exciting that all the best players in Australia are playing and getting the chance to compete against each other. It brings the best out of everyone. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Kavyaa Madaan, who will be competing in the U19 and U21 events, described her excitement at competing in the event, stating: “I’m really excited to be competing at the National Championships in Goulburn. I’ve been training hard over the past few months and feel well prepared. My focus is to give my best in every match, enjoy the experience, and keep learning against some of Australia’s best players. It’s always special to compete at Nationals, and I’m looking forward to representing Victoria and seeing all my friends from around the country. I’m really looking forward to the tournament and the opportunity to compete.”

Alois Rosario, TTA’s National Athlete and Coach Development Manager, added: "We’re excited to see the next generation of athletes at this Nationals. We are looking at the future of Para Table Tennis in the country, and our hopes for Brisbane 2032 and beyond, and this tournament gives our Hub players a chance to be seen by and perform in front of the people that count. There’s sure to be a lot of competitive matches at the competition and gives people real opportunities to show their talents.”

Selected matches from the tournament will be live-streamed via Table Tennis TV, and schedules for the event can be found here.
