QIAN YANG NAMED PARA PLAYER OF THE YEAR

After another outstanding 2022 – 2023, Qian Yang has been awarded the Arthur Wilks Award for the Australian Para Player of the Year.
Qian Yang’s results since the 2022 National Championships last year included winning the Gold Medal in the Class 10 Womens Singles at the 2022 World Para Championships in Spain making her World Champion and No.1 in the World in her class. Qian Yang also teamed up with fellow Aussie, Lina Lei, to win Gold in the Womens Doubles Class WD20 and with Lin Ma to win Silver in the Mixed Doubles Class 20 at the same event.
A special presentation was held to award the trophy to Qian Yang at the recent National Para Camp at the Essendon Football Club National Para Training Centre.
