Recap: TTA National Hopes Tour: Victoria I

TTA were proud to host its second National Hopes Tour of the 2026/27 schedule, with the second stop in Ballarat, Victoria delivering five days of high-quality training, competition and development.

Held at the Ballarat Table Tennis Centre, the National Hopes Tour brought together some of the country's most promising young table tennis players, who participated in an intensive development program designed to accelerate their technical, tactical and competitive growth.
Adding inspiration to the camp were Melissa Tapper and Simon Gerada, who worked closely with athletes throughout the camp. Their experience, coaching and mentorship provided participants with invaluable insights into the standards required to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.
The week concluded with exciting competition, highlighting the depth of emerging talent across Australia. The medallists are as follows:
Hopes Girls:

Hopes Boys:
1. Chengning Yang (NSW)
2. Flynn Wang (VIC)

Congratulations to all medallists and participants for their outstanding performances and commitment throughout the week.
The National Hopes Tour now heads north for its next stop in Queensland, with more opportunities to develop skills, earn valuable Hopes Tour points and continue their journey through Australia's high-performance pathway.
