Team announced for ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup 2026
Published Tue 10 Mar 2026
Table Tennis Australia are pleased to officially confirm the players who will represent Australia in the ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup in 2026.
Following their successes in the ITTF Oceania Cup, which was held in New Zealand earlier this year, Finn Luu and Nicholas Lum will represent the Green and Gold in the Men's Singles in Macao, whilst Yangzi Liu will be Australia's representative in the Women's Singles section of the draw.
Ricardo Oliveira, National Head Coach for Australia, shared his excitement ahead of the tournament, stating: "It’s a pleasure and an honour for our team to compete at the ITTF Men's & Women's World Cup again. The athletes have been working hard, and we’re looking forward to representing Australia with pride.”
These athletes qualified through the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026 Qualification Pathway, which awards automatic qualification to the winner, finalist and semi-finalists of each ITTF Continental Cup.
Three of the four Australians who competed at the ITTF-Oceania Cup secured qualification, with one athlete not yet eligible to compete at ITTF World Events.
The tournament kicks off on March 30 at the Galaxy Arena in Macao, and will conclude on April 5.
The draw has not yet been finalised, but you can keep up to date with all of the event information as and when it comes, through the official ITTF Website here.
