TTA and AWDPI host Rally Her Collective come-and-try event at Museum of Chinese Australian History
Published Wed 01 Jul 2026
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) and Asian Women's Development Plan International Australia (AWDPI) were proud to host a come-and-try event for Women and Girls at the Museum of Chinese Australian History on Friday, 26 June.
The activation, named Rally Her Collective, took place from 11am-3pm at the Museum, based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, and saw a vast range of participants take place, ranging from first-time players to those with greater table tennis experience.
The activation included high-level coaching from members of Scorpio Table Tennis Academy, opportunities to have a hit with other visitors to the activation, AWDPI workshops and much more, as we continue to look to try to lower the barrier of entry to table tennis from across Australia.
Aaron Zhang, TTA's Australia China Community Connect Officer, expressed his pride in the event, stating: ""We were really excited to host our 'Rally Her Collective' activation at the Museum of Chinese Australian History last Friday. We want to lower barriers to entry to table tennis in Australia, and it was exciting for us to see so many people turn up with an appetite to learn and with smiles on their faces. I'd like to thank all who contributed to making the activation such a success, including the Museum of Chinese Australian History, Scorpio Table Tennis Academy, AWDPI, Table Tennis Victoria, and more. We also thank the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations for its generous funding, which, through table tennis project promotes the important contributions of the Chinese community in Australia."
Cindy Jiaze Gui, Managing Director of AWDPI Australia added: "You don't have to be perfect at the sport to come to these events. It's all about coming to try, and creating social connections where people feel very welcome and make some friends."
TTA would like to extend its warmest thanks to AWDPI Australia, the Museum of Chinese Australian History, Scorpio Table Tennis Academy, Table Tennis Victoria, National Foundation for Australia-China Relations and Melbourne City Council for their invaluable support in delivering this activation.
