We’re incredibly proud to announce the 2026 National Para Squad, which represents the strength, determination and talent across our para table tennis community. This group of athletes continues to inspire and set high standards, both nationally and internationally. We’re also excited to see new talent emerging as we head toward a new Paralympic cycle. Congratulations to all those selected and thank you to both Trevor and Jake, who have contributed significantly to the program over many years, said Ms Sue Stevenson, GM National Paralympic Program.

TTA is currently working closely with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) to finalise the athlete categorisation process for 2026. Once AIS approval is secured, all athletes will be notified of their categorisation status.

Selections for the 2026 National Para Development Squad will take place immediately following the 2025 National Para Development Camp in November. A formal announcement will follow shortly thereafter.

Para Classification System – Class Overview

  • Classes 1–5 – Athletes competing in a wheelchair. A higher-class number indicates a greater range of movement.
  • Classes 6–10 – Standing athletes. A higher-class number also indicates a greater range of movement.
  • Class 11 – Athletes with an intellectual impairment.

TTA congratulates all athletes on their selection and looks forward to a strong year of preparation and competition as the team builds toward LA2028 and future international success.
