Table Tennis Australia Announces Board and Committee Appointments
Published Mon 27 Apr 2026
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) are pleased to announce a series of key appointments to its Board and Committees, reinforcing its commitment to strong governance and leadership.
Clare Grech has been appointed as a Director on the TTA Board, replacing Maggie Roberts, who resigned in late 2025. Clare's appointment follows a comprehensive and robust recruitment process, including public advertising, formal interviews, and selection through the TTA Nominations and Remuneration Committee. The appointment was formally ratified by the TTA Board at its meeting on 16 April.
TTA also confirms the appointment of Maggie Roberts as Chair of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee. Having been recently appointed to the Committee, Maggie now steps into the Chair role, ensuring alignment with Australian Sports Commission (ASC) governance standards requiring an independent Chair.
In addition, Kamalesh Tharmasuthan has been appointed as Chair of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee. Kamalesh, who was already serving on the Committee, assumes the Chair position in accordance with ASC governance standards for independent leadership of this key committee.
These appointments reflect TTA’s ongoing focus on strengthening governance structures and supporting the continued growth and success of table tennis across Australia.
