TTA Board Update - Graham Symons Appointed TTA President, Anthony Jeffress Appointed TTA Deputy President

At the TTA Board Meeting following the TTA AGM held on 19 April 2020, the TTA Board unanimously appointed Graham Symons as TTA President. Graham is currently the longest serving TTA Board Member and brings a wealth of experience from his former corporate roles and Board roles, both inside and outside of sport. In line with the TTA Constitution, Graham will hold the position until the 2021 TTA AGM.
Anthony Jeffress was unanimously appointed by the TTA Board as Deputy President. Anthony will also hold the position until the 2021 TTA AGM.
Earlier in the day at the TTA AGM, Graham and Leeanne Grantham retained their positions unopposed as Elected Directors on the TTA Board. Craig Hayes was also confirmed as an Elected Director unopposed. Craig has already been a member of the TTA Board for the past two years, previously serving as an Appointed Director. All three will serve a term of two years.
Consequently, a casual vacancy arises for an Appointed Director position on the TTA Board. TTA will call for nominations soon, once an assessment of the required skillset has been undertaken.
The sole change to the overall makeup of the TTA Board was Jamie Olsen sought not to seek re-election due to increasing business commitments. He joined the TTA Board at the 2018 AGM and served as Deputy President until September 2019, before succeeding Brett Sonnet as President. Jamie was thanked for his contribution to the TTA Board at the TTA AGM, especially considering he stepped up at a time when it was needed most as TTA was undergoing a substantial transformation. TTA wishes Jamie all the best for his future endeavours and is appreciative of the role he played during his Board tenure.
The TTA Board is comprised of: Graham Symons (President, Elected Director), Anthony Jeffress (Deputy President, Elected Director), Marie Pinkewich (Elected Director), Leeanne Grantham (Elected Director), Craig Hayes (Elected Director) and Karen Zhang (Appointed Director).
