Table Tennis Australia Launches Philanthropic Program to Power Olympic Dreams and Build Stronger Communities
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) today announced the launch of its philanthropic program, a new initiative designed to prepare athletes for success at the Brisbane32 Games while harnessing the power of table tennis to build inclusive and connected communities across Australia.
Australia is entering a defining decade. With a home Games on the horizon and record migration from countries where table tennis is deeply rooted, the sport is uniquely positioned to deliver both elite performance outcomes and social integration benefits.
Through the philanthropic program, donors and partners will have the opportunity to directly support our foundational initiatives:
- Pathway to the Podium – preparing Australia’s athletes for Brisbane32 through world-class coaching, cutting-edge sports science, and international competition, ensuring they are ready to become medal contenders.
- Table Tennis Together – harnessing the power of our sport to connect communities through inclusive programs that bring people together, reduce isolation, and celebrate Australia’s diversity.
“This is bigger than sport,” said Nicole Adamson, CEO of Table Tennis Australia. “Table tennis has the power to create champions who inspire the nation while fostering a strong sense of belonging for thousands of new Australians. With the right philanthropic partners, we can ensure Brisbane 2032 is remembered not just for medals, but for its lasting social legacy.”
The program aims to raise $2 million over seven years to support Olympic and Paralympic athlete development, alongside $1.4 million over four years dedicated to multicultural community initiatives – through a diverse portfolio of philanthropic contributions.
Wade Edwards, TTA’s Head of Commercial, highlighted the pivotal role of private support:
“Government and commercial investment provide a strong foundation – but to truly unlock the full potential of Australian table tennis, we need the passion and vision of philanthropic partners. This program is an open invitation to philanthropists, foundations, and community leaders to help shape not only our Olympic and Paralympic success, but also a more inclusive and multicultural future.”
Supporters can be part of something special, helping to shape the future of a sport they love and making a tangible difference for athletes and communities alike.
