TTA Partners With Latrobe City Council and Destination Gippsland

TTA is pleased to announce a partnership with Latrobe City Council and Destination Gippsland for all 2020 National Championships.

As previously distributed, the dates for all events are:

• 2020 National Veterans Championships: 28 November to 5 December at Traralgon Sports Stadium
• 2020 National Senior, Youth, Junior & Para Championships: 11-20 December at Traralgon Sports Stadium

The Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Cr Dan Clancey is excited about the partnership, commenting “We’re delighted to host the Table Tennis Australia National Championships at our newly-upgraded Traralgon Sports Stadium. It will be our first opportunity to showcase the facility to a local and national audience. The announcement also comes at just the right time to boost our spirits and give us something to look forward to at the end of the year.”

“We’ve built a strong reputation as a venue destination for state, national and even international sports tournaments with our top quality facilities, easy access, accommodation options and engaged audiences. Our community loves to watch athletes perform, hosting significant events in our region is inspirational for our future local young sports stars.”

Destination Gippsland welcomes the hosting of the Table Tennis Australia National Championships at the new sports stadium in Traralgon. CEO Terry Robinson said “This is a great event for Latrobe City and Council are to be congratulated on these state of the art facilities. Hosting such events provides the opportunity for visitation locally and across Gippsland which will significantly contribute to the overall visitor economy.”

TTA CEO, Scott Houston, was equally upbeat, “TTA appreciates the support provided by Latrobe City Council and Destination Gippsland, with all parties working hard to bring the events to the region at short notice. 2020 will be a unique year with all National Championships held close together, and we’re looking forward to showcasing our sport and players, coaches and officials at Traralgon Sports Stadium in November/December."
