Vale Peter Mascall
Published Tue 03 Oct 2017
It is with regret that we advise the passing of Peter Mascall from Western Australia. Peter was the Tournament Director for the upcoming Australian Veterans Championships in Mandurah, WA. Peter spent many enjoyable hours planning and discussing the tournament, it gave him a great sense of purpose and he was in his element talking about the past events he had been involved in over the years. It is such a great shame that after all the work and effort he put into planning the event in Mandurah that he will not be there to see the fruits of his passion. Peter was also a director on the board of Table Tennis Western Australia.
Peter was originally in Victoria back in the 70’s & 80’s and was Secretary of the then Victorian Table Tennis Association for many years before moving to Western Australia. He still liked to keep involved in Table Tennis and assisted the Western Australian association at their centre in East Victoria Park, Perth for quite many years until he was elected as a Director at the last AGM and took on the Tournament Directors job for the Veterans.
He will be remembered for his passion for the game and also his wit which he expressed constantly.. He was 89 years of age.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday the 4th October 2017 10 - 11.45am. Bowra & Odea Chapel, Cannington, WA
