WTT Youth Contender Perth 2025 Wraps Up with Stellar Aussie Performances

After four thrilling days of world-class table tennis action, the WTT Youth Contender Perth 2025 came to a close on October 11, marking the event’s debut in Western Australia. More than 160 athletes from 12 countries descended on Perth, bringing with them fierce competition and a display of exceptional young talent.
Previously held in the Northern Territory for the past three years, the tournament’s move to Perth proved a resounding success, thanks to strong local support and an electric atmosphere throughout the event.
A huge thank you goes to the Western Australian Government for their support, as well as to WTT equipment sponsor Yinhe. Special appreciation is also extended to Table Tennis Western Australia (TTWA) who co-hosted the event and the incredible team of staff, officials, and volunteers who helped deliver a seamless and exciting event.
From a high-performance perspective, Team Australia delivered an outstanding medal haul, showcasing the depth and promise of the nation’s emerging table tennis talent. The team captured an impressive 22 medals, including 5 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze, across various age groups and events.
