The 2026 International Umpire Exam will be conducted online from 11 to 30 November 2026 faciliated by the ITTF URC and ITTF Development.
Potential candidates are to submit an expression of interest to TTA URC to receive endorsement to sit the IU Exam.
Candidate pre-requsites are as follows;
- Excellent knowledgee and understanding of the laws of table tennis and regulations for international competitions as well as the Handbook for Match Officials.
- Must be born on or before 1 January 2004.
- Must have been a National Umpire at tournaments for a minimum of 2 years
- Can produce records showing you have been active as an umpire and officiated in at least 3 National Events or higher since qualifying as a National Umpire
- Definition of “activeness” is defined in Level 3 National Umpire
- Be a registered member of an affiliated club or association (includes State & TTA membership)
- Attend an online/in-person International Umpire briefing & revision seminar with an experienced nationally-appointed official
