Anshul Thakran joins the TTA Team

TTA is pleased to advise that Anshul Thakran has taken on the role of National Participation and Development Coordinator, commencing today 11 June 2021. Anshul will be based at the TTA National Office in Adelaide.

Table Tennis Australia welcome the Brisbane 2032 update

Table Tennis Australia (TTA) welcomed the news overnight that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) will recommend the Brisbane proposal to host the 2032 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games to a vote of the IOC Members in Session in Tokyo next month. 

Anthony Moore Appointed Director Term Extended

TTA is pleased to announce that Anthony Moore has been re-appointed as an Appointed Director on the TTA Board for a further two years, with his tenure being extended until June 2023. Anthony originally joined the TTA Board in June 2020 on a one year term and the decision to extend his tenure was made at the 10 June 2021 Board Meeting.

TTA is pleased to advise that TTA Ratings Central Guidelines were approved at the 10 June 2021 TTA Board Meeting.

Illawarra grant recipients excited to enhance member experience

TTA received a record number of high-quality applications from clubs in every State and Territory for the 2021 Equipment and Facilities Grants Program. Over $114,000 worth of equipment and facilities will now be injected into table tennis projects across 13 clubs/associations from all over the country.

With today’s announcement from the Victorian Government that the Victorian lockdown has been extended for at least another 7 days, this unfortunately means that the TTA Tour – Melbourne, scheduled to be held on 5-6 June, has been cancelled.

Karol Javor Posthumously Inducted into the TTA Hall of Fame

TTA is pleased to announce that Karol Javor has been posthumously inducted into the TTA Hall of Fame (Coaches). Upon arriving in Australia in 1957 until his passing in 1998, a span of 41 years, Karol Javor was arguably Australia’s most successful and influential coach and his record and legacy is unprecedented.
