Goulburn Mulwaree Council to support upcoming tournaments in New South Wales
Published Mon 11 May 2026
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is excited to announce the support of Goulburn Mulwaree Council for both the 2026 TTA Tour New South Wales and the 2026 TTA National Championships (U19, U21, Open and Para), with two major national events set to be hosted at Veolia Arena in Goulburn.
Goulburn will welcome two significant events on the national table tennis calendar later this year, including the sport’s National Championships, reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a host of high-quality sporting events and major competitions.
The 2026 TTA Tour New South Wales, the third stop of the four-event national tour series, will be held on 30–31 May, before the national spotlight returns to Goulburn for the 2026 TTA National Senior, Youth & Para Championships from 6–11 July, marking a major milestone for both the city and the sport.
The National Championships will crown national champions across multiple categories and welcoming athletes, coaches, officials and supporters from around the country. Hosting this flagship event underscores Goulburn’s capacity to deliver on the biggest stage.
Both events will be staged at Veolia Arena, a modern, multi-purpose venue well suited to high-performance competition. With its excellent playing conditions, spectator-friendly layout and central location, the arena provides an ideal environment for athletes to perform at their best while offering an engaging experience for fans and the local community.
Table Tennis Australia CEO Nicole Adamson welcomed the opportunity to bring two major events to Goulburn and thanked Goulburn Mulwaree Council for its support.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing not just one, but two major national events to Goulburn in 2026,” Ms Adamson said. “Hosting the TTA Tour NSW and the National Championships at Veolia Arena is a fantastic outcome for our sport.”
“The National Championships are the cornerstone event of table tennis in Australia, and Goulburn provides an outstanding setting to deliver an event of this significance. We’re grateful to Goulburn Mulwaree Council for their support and look forward to welcoming athletes and families from across the country.”
Goulburn Mulwaree Mayor Cr Nina Dillon said the city was proud to host events of national importance.
“Goulburn Mulwaree Council is delighted to support Table Tennis Australia and to welcome two major national table tennis events to our region in 2026,” Cr Dillon said. “Hosting the National Championships is a significant achievement and highlights Goulburn as a destination for high-quality sporting events.”
“These events will bring visitors to our city, energise our community and showcase our excellent facilities at Veolia Arena. We look forward to seeing Goulburn buzzing with athletes, officials and supporters from across Australia.”
The 2026 events are expected to attract competitors and spectators nationwide, delivering strong participation, high-level competition and lasting benefits for the local community, while reinforcing Goulburn’s place on the national sporting map.
