Medals Abound in Successful Euro Trip

Australian young guns Finn Luu and Nicholas Lum trained and competed extensively in Europe over the past month together with National Head Coach John Murphy. Between them they claimed no less than 8 medals in a hugely successful trip. Check out some of these highlights:
FINN LUU
- Budapest, Hungary – 24th Janos Molnar International Tournament: Cadet Boy’s Singles: Silver. Junior Boy’s Singles: Bronze.
- Czech Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF World Junior Circuit: Cadet Boy’s Doubles: Bronze. Cadet Boy’s Singles: Last 16. Cadet Boy’s Team: Quarter Final. Junior Boy’s Singles: Last 32. Junior Boy’s Doubles: Last 32.
- Swedish Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF World Junior Circuit: Cadet Boy’s Singles: Quarter Final.
- Safir International, Sweden: Under 16 Boy’s Singles: Bronze. Junior Boy’s Singles: Quarter Final.
NICHOLAS LUM
- Budapest, Hungary – 24th Janos Molnar International Tournament: Cadet Boy’s Singles: Gold. This was Nicholas’ first international tournament victory and the first time in the 24 year history of the event that someone from outside Europe has won the event.
- Czech Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF World Junior Circuit: Cadet Boy’s Doubles: Bronze. Cadet Boy’s Singles: Last 32. Cadet Boy’s Team: Quarter Final.
- Swedish Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF World Junior Circuit: Junior Boy’s Singles: Last 64. Cadet Boy’s Singles: Last 32.
- Safir International, Sweden: Under 14 Boy’s Singles: Silver. Under 16 Boy’s Singles: Quarter Final. Men’s Elite Singles: Last 32.
