Minhyung Jee wins two bronze medals at WTT Feeder Prishtina
Published Mon 01 Jun 2026
Minhyung Jee secured a bronze medal in both the Women's Singles and Women's Doubles at the WTT Feeder Prishtina last weekend, rounding off a positive week in the Kosovan capital.
Jee, who is currently ranked #4 in the Australian Women's National Rankings, defeated Portugal's Mariana Santa, Spain's Silvia Coll, and India's Syndrela Das en route to the semi-finals, where she was ultimately defeated by Divyanshi Bhowmick of India. Bhowmick would go onto win the tournament, defeating the number one seed, Yi-Tian Yeh, in a five set match.
Jee's tournament however, would continue in the Women's doubles, as she teamed up with Babora Varady of Slovenia, and the two received a bye in the round of 16, before a clash with Spanish pair Ainhoa Cristobal and Silvia Coll. It was a mammoth encounter against the Spaniards, lasting 33 minutes, with Jee and Varady advancing into the semi-finals with a 3-2 victory (11-9, 11-4, 7-11, 8-11, 11-4).
In the semi finals, Jee and Varady came up against Japanese duo Sachi Aoki and Cocona Muramatsu and took a 2-1 lead with a 12-10 win in the third set, but Aoki and Muramatsu fought back superbly, to take their place in the final. India's Divyanshi Bhomwick and Syndrela Das would then go on to take gold in the final.
All in all, it was a successful week for Jee in another international tournament with a very competitive field present. Well done, Min!
