TTA Adopts Australian National Anti-Doping Policy

The TTA Board has approved for the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy to be used across the Australian table tennis community. Approval was provided at the 3 December 2020 Board Meeting.
The World Anti-Doping Code has been updated and will come into effect on 1 January 2021. Subsequently, Sport Integrity Australia (formerly ASADA) have developed the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy. This will replace the current TTA Anti-Doping Policy on 1 January 2021.

WARNING TO ATHLETES AND ATHLETE SUPPORT PERSONNEL:
- You are responsible for knowing what the Anti-Doping rule violations are.
- You must find out which substances and methods are prohibited.
- Ignorance is no excuse.
- You must be aware of the rules in this Anti-Doping Policy.
- This Anti-Doping Policy adopts the strict liability principle.
- Athletes are responsible for anything found in their system.
- You must be aware of the sanctions that could be applied to you in this Anti-Doping Policy.
State/Territory Associations are advised they need to include the following wording to all membership forms and competition entry forms from 2021 onwards:
I have read and understood and agree to abide by the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, effective from 1 January 2021, and found on the Sport Integrity Australia website (https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/anti-doping/world-anti-doping-code/australian-national-anti-doping-policy) being the anti-doping policy adopted by TTA and applicable to all members, participants and non-participants.
