TTA Launches National Hopes Tour 2025/2026 — First Stop: AIS Canberra
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is proud to announce the launch of the 2025/2026 National Hopes Tour; a dynamic new series designed to uncover, inspire, and develop the next generation of Australian table tennis stars.
Kicking off at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra, ACT from 15–19 December 2025, the National Hopes Tour will travel across three electrifying locations — the ACT, Western Australia and Victoria — giving young athletes the opportunity to push their limits, sharpen their skills, shine on the national stage and earn points toward selection for the Australian Hopes team, taking their game global.
This tour isn't just about competing; it's about the complete athlete experience. As part of the Hopes journey, participants will:
- Learn what it takes to be a high-performing athlete
- Work with National Coaches and Performance Specialists
- Compete against Australia’s best young talent
- Receive national-level feedback and mentoring
- Earn Hopes Points toward selection for the Australian Hopes Team at the ITTF Oceania Hopes Week 2026 and other international representation.
“The National Hopes Tour reflects our vision to create world-class development experiences right here in Australia,” said TTA CEO Nicole Adamson. “We’re investing in the future — and that means giving our youngest players the tools, challenges, and environment they need to grow.”
“This Tour goes beyond competition,” added Rob Gomm, General Manager – Olympic Program. “It’s about developing athletes holistically: technical skill, mindset, physical preparation, and exposure to national-level coaching — all in a high-performance setting.”
The National Hopes Tour is a key part of TTA’s athlete development pathway and aligns with the ITTF Hopes Program, ensuring opportunities for young Australians to reach the international stage. Each Hopes Tour will be run in conjunction with a Pathway Camp for U19 athletes.
