TTA Update Statement - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Table Tennis Australia Ltd. (TTA) is continuously monitoring the situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on TTA national events and the broader table tennis community. As such, TTA provides the following update.

Karen Zhang Joins the TTA Board

TTA is pleased to announce that Karen Zhang has been appointed to the TTA Board, filling the recently advertised Appointed Director casual vacancy following the resignation of Eddie Kocjancic.

TTA Strategic Plan - 2019 Implementation Update

We are now one year into TTA's 2019-2022 Whole of Sport Strategic Plan - Our Future Now! and we are pleased to provide an Implementation Update to show progress made up to 31 December 2019.

TTA Sets New Participation Record in 2019!

National participation hit 168,560 in 2019, smashing the previous record set in 2018 by more than 60%. More than 10,000 members were reported by States/Territories in the 2019 calendar year.

TTA Calls for Continued Collaboration and Stability at State/Territory Level

With 2020 well underway, we see some States and Territories (S&T's) heading into General Meetings. It is noted in some S&T's, notably Victoria and Western Australia, there have been challenges put forward to existing Boards. Whilst governance matters for each S&T, including the election of Board Members, is a matter for its members, it is important we continue to build on the strong progress that is being achieved across table tennis at a national, state and club level.
