WTT YOUTH CONTENDER DARWIN 2023

It has been an exciting fortnight of table tennis in Darwin, with the four-day Youth Contender event finishing on Sunday with a strong result for Australia in a tough competition.

NATIONAL PARA SELECTION PANEL ANNOUNCEMENT

TTA and the National Para Selection Panel are pleased to announce the following selections for the 2023 Oceania Para Championships, to be played in Honiara, Solomon Islands from 17 – 20 November.

Aditya Sareen Achieves Historic World Ranking

Australia’s shooting star Aditya Sareen has achieved something historic. In the recently published World Ranking, Aditya jumped to the top of the U15 age category which makes him the first Australian in history to do so. In the men’s WR ‘Adi’ leaped to position 37. He was rewarded with his career-best ranking after becoming the youngest Men’s Singles Champion ever at the Oceania Championships in Townsville a fortnight ago.

AUSTRALIAN OFFICIALS SELECTED TO UMPIRE IN PARIS

TTA would like to take this opportunity to publicly recognise and congratulate Alan Hopkins and Marie Pinkewich who have been selected to officiate at next year’s Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

AUS PARA TEAM SET NEW RECORD AT JAPAN PARA OPEN

The AUS Para Team have just finished competing in the 2023 ITTF Japan Para Open and have secured our best ever International Factor 20/40 Para event result with 7 x Gold, 1 x Silver and 2 x Bronze medals.
